Engage: Facilitation Skills

That Work for You

This course is a road map for designing and delivering meaningful, impactful and memorable group experiences online or in person. Whether you are growing connections, generating ideas, or teaching new skills, this series will move your work forward.

You will have the tools and practices to design gatherings with great pacing and content delivery that will make your sessions memorable and impactful; strategies to draw on when you hit a facilitation challenge; and a community of practice to lean on when you get stuck, or just need a good debrief after the gathering is over.

This blended course (online and live zoom sessions) includes:

  • Access to 6 video and text lessons on facilitation theory and practice; templates for session design, participant surveys and online agendas; loads of activities to easily incorporate. Learn at your own pace!

  • Four live Zoom sessions focussing on an essential facilitation practice. Each session starts with a mini workshop followed by an opportunity to put new skills in action with your peers.

  • Support to stay on track, work out new facilitation approaches, and share successes with fellow learners.

  • BONUS: A one-on-one coaching call with Cate to get “unstuck,” review a plan for an upcoming facilitation, or to brainstorm next steps in your own facilitation development.

Endorsements:

"I learned how important it is to capture our audience, to understand what their specific learning and engagement needs are, and to take the extra steps to ensure they are getting the most value from the session. Internally, I learned that I possess the power and skills to produce wonderful and engaging material! Cate's sessions helped me look inward and find my "special facilitating sauce" that I now carry out in every session I produce."

I highly recommend Cate’s interactive facilitation workshops.  She is an amazing facilitator herself and she creates the space that you need to discover your own source of inspiration and develop your skills to become an engaging facilitator in any type of group setting, both in-person and online.”
